Learn by building
How I got here and what changed along the way.
I became interested in software before I fully understood what being a software engineer actually meant.
I started with C and learned fundamental programming concepts such as memory, pointers, logic, and problem solving.
I explored HTML, CSS, JavaScript and eventually started building things for the web.
Kotlin changed the direction of my learning and led me deeper into Android development.
I began building Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while learning architecture, networking, persistence, and state management.
I'm building complete projects, documenting what I learn, and working toward becoming a professional Android engineer.
Turn concepts into working software instead of stopping at tutorials.
Debug, inspect, question, and understand why something works.
Document the process and lessons for others and my future self.
The tools and technologies I work with daily.
What I am focused on right now.
Deepening Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Learning production-oriented patterns, separation of concerns, dependency injection, persistence, networking, and testing.
Building and shipping complete applications rather than isolated tutorials.
Publishing projects, learning from existing codebases, and eventually contributing to open-source projects.
From people I've worked or learned alongside.
Samrat is a seeker. What I admire most is his curiosity and willingness to keep improving. He doesn't just code; he builds from what he learns.
